Contacting The Afterlife,
    What is Life After Death?

The subject of contacting  the afterlife or those who have crossed over is a very controversial topic. It spans from the "when you're dead you're dead" group, to "this life is but one step in an infinite path to enlightenment." Of course there are those who are in between and are not sure what to make of the whole thing.

After thousands of private and group hypnosis sessions I have conducted over the years, I
have to say not only that I firmly believe that this life is just one aspect of our existence,
but we can and do communicate with those near and dear whether we acknowledge it or
not. The stories, revelations, and experiences I have seen people experience in my hypnosis
practice would and will someday fill at least  one book! There have been times I almost had to
force myself to close my mouth as it dropped open in  wonder at the experiences I have seen
clients have in communicating with those who have crossed over.

What is life after death? Sorry but I can't answer that one for you completely, but I feel
confident to say it is a reality. But I'm fine with anyone refusing to believe or being a skeptic.
Skepticism is a good thing as, sad to say, there are more than enough charlatans in every field of human endeavor. Plus it keeps us on our toes and always keeps us the wonderful inquisitive beings we are. Diversity of thought and opinion is key to creating the flavor that makes life delicious. I gave up long ago trying to convince anyone of anything having to do with spiritual beliefs. Life itself leads us to awakenings when we are ready, no need to try and force others to have a realization, as there is a time for everything and everyone, to paraphrase a tune.

The quickie theory and simplistically put is that different planes of existence exist at different
vibrations or frequencies. There are vast amounts of books, articles, physics theories, etc. that explore this idea much more eloquently and with more authority than I can. Using hypnosis a person can experience deep relaxation and the brain actually shifts it's state of activity from beta to alpha and theta. In addition, if you subscribe to the idea of spirituality, we "tune in" more easily with our higher selves, spirit guides, and yes, those who have crossed over while in these altered states. I have seen it happen spontaneously in sessions many times, when there was no hint, suggestion, or intent to contact with those who have crossed over.

An interesting example : Years ago I had a client, a businessman type, from out of town who
wanted to work on a real world issue, no "floaty woaty" stuff. Out of the blue, he tells me "I'm
seeing this woman, I don't  know who she is, trying to tell me something." When this kind of
stuff happens, you have to go with it and get it out of the way so you can continue with the
job at hand. So I asked him to see if he could tell what she wanted. My client was a bit aghast
and said that she was the mother of some kids his own children had been playing with around
the pool at the hotel where he was staying while in town. Apparently she had recently crossed over and saw my client as a means of getting a message to her children that she was ok. Well, not only was this communication with the other side not planned, but not exactly wanted. My client, who was not a proponent of this sort of thing, was more than a little alarmed at the notion of telling some kids he did not know  that their deceased Mother asked him to let them know she was ok. In his mind it was a responsibility he did not want and faced an inner conflict of emotions of what to do. Unfortunately I never found out  what he did, but my sympathies and prayers were with him and the mother and her children.

Of course, I have taught many classes and given many private and group sessions specifically
with the intention of communicating with friends and family who have crossed over  The stories are many and wonderful. Actually this is one of my favorite types of group sessions. The experiences people share are just uplifting. I have felt privileged to observe experiences of love, hope, and so much more. To that end, I have made a recording to help people have their own experience called, "Making Contact With The Other Side," a relaxing and revelatory
experience, and one of the most popular of all my CDs. Actually with enough practice and
focus, anyone can be a medium or psychic. These abilities are within all of us. (If you ever
watch one of the most famous mediums, John Edward, he says this all the time.)

What's the message from the Other Side? What's the big Secret? .......Love, just love
and all that goes with it, forgiveness, understanding, hope,....just Love.
